Non-verbal language

A useful complement and an efficient tool

The term “non-verbal language” refers to any expression or exchange form that does not require the use of words.

This language is not based on idioms, but on other types of expression such as movements and gestures (corporal non-verbal language), music (acoustic non-verbal language) or drawing, painting, sculpture and any other type of picture or colour (plastic non-verbal language).

Used together with words, this language favours a better and a more precise communication.

We use this kind of language for highlighting or accentuating verbal contents and as a memorization tool in our language teaching setting.
